Eileen Henquinet
Master Applicator Program Coordinator
With over 25 years of experience in industrial floor coatings, I admit it was not initially my chosen field. I graduated from Northeastern Illinois University (B.A, M.A.) prepared to be a high school English teacher. I taught for four years and loved it. I always filled my summers with temporary work and one summer I was called by International Coatings. The company was only a few months old which allowed me to grow along with the business. For 18 years I was the Controller at ICO but I always had a lot of contact with our customers and salespeople as well, many who have become friends over the years. Since ICO was purchased by Milamar in 2013, my focus has been primarily on Inside Sales. I have been involved with our Master Applicators Program since its inception in 2010. I am part of the team that organizes our training seminars and other meetings as I was at ICO.
My intention back in the summer I started at ICO was to return to teaching. What kept me in the business then is what keeps me here now. There is a certain energy that is created when you know that your support is essential in getting a job done right. We work with the best contractors and getting you what you need, when you need it is essential to our success. Most of our customers are business owners. It is our privilege to be their chosen partner. Working with our Master Applicators is an opportunity to work with the best of the best and to form a partnership that is beneficial to all of our companies.
Outside of the office, I’m looking forward to spring and raising Monarch butterflies. It is as easy as planting a milkweed plant – something most people don’t know. I also love exploring small town antique shops but I need either a new hobby or a bigger house.
